I took this Reenactment Photograph at Historic Endview Plantation in Newport News, Va. Several very large realistic Reenactments are held on the huge Plantation grounds there each year where large earthworks have been dug for these events. In this Photograph, one can see all of the smoke rising from the black power of all the guns being fired as the Confederate Troops fire and hold their ground during this open charge to drive enemy from the battlefield. This is a Sepia Photograph with a light Soft Focus added which really brings the viewer into this turbulent 19th century period.
