I took this Reenactment Photograph at Historic Endview Plantation in Newport News, Va. Several very large realistic Reenactments are held on the huge Plantation grounds there each year where large earthworks have been dug for these events. In this Photograph, one can see all of the smoke rising from the black power of all the guns being fired during this open charge upon the enemy troops on the battlefield. This is a Sepia Photograph with a light Soft Focus added which really brings the viewer into this turbulent 19th century period.
