Historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, in Hampton, Va., is the oldest English-speaking parish in America, founded in 1610. The church of St. John’s is a 1728 worship building displaying beautiful colonial brickwork. The cemetery's gravestones record a history of nearly three centuries. My picture shows a monument to the Confederate Dead buried throughout its graveyard.
